Fees & Transparency

We believe in clear, upfront pricing. Below you will find our standard fee ranges for common services.

SRA Transparency Rules: In accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority's price transparency requirements, we publish our fees for commonly used legal services. All fees are exclusive of VAT (charged at 20%) unless otherwise stated. Disbursements are costs payable to third parties and are in addition to our legal fees.

Residential Conveyancing

Our conveyancing fees cover the legal work involved in buying or selling a residential property. The exact fee depends on the property value, whether the property is freehold or leasehold, and the complexity of the transaction.

Fee Range £1,200 – £2,800 + VAT

Key Stages

  1. Take your instructions and verify your identity
  2. Receive and review the draft contract and supporting documents
  3. Carry out local authority, environmental, drainage and title searches
  4. Report to you on the contract terms, searches and mortgage offer
  5. Agree completion date and exchange contracts
  6. Complete the purchase, register your ownership and submit SDLT return

Disbursements

  • HM Land Registry fee: £95 – £910 (depending on property value)
  • Search fees: £250 – £400
  • Electronic ID verification: £6 – £20 per person
  • Bank transfer fee: £40 per transfer
  • Stamp Duty Land Tax: calculated based on purchase price
  • Leasehold supplement (if applicable): £350 + VAT

Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney

We offer transparent, fixed-fee pricing for will drafting and lasting powers of attorney. Complex estates involving trusts, business assets or overseas property may require a bespoke quote following an initial consultation.

Fee Range £350 – £1,500 + VAT

Key Stages

  1. Initial consultation to discuss your wishes and circumstances
  2. Draft the will or LPA documents for your review
  3. Meet to finalise, sign and witness the documents
  4. Register LPAs with the Office of the Public Guardian
  5. Store originals securely and provide certified copies

Disbursements

  • Single will: £350 + VAT (fixed fee)
  • Mirror wills (couple): £550 + VAT (fixed fee)
  • Lasting Power of Attorney (per LPA): £500 + VAT
  • OPG registration fee: £82 per LPA
  • Complex will with trust provisions: from £750 + VAT
  • Will storage: £25 per year or free at our offices

Employment Tribunal Claims

We represent both employees and employers in employment tribunal proceedings. Fees depend on the complexity of the claim, the number of hearing days, and whether settlement is achieved before the final hearing.

Fee Range £3,000 – £15,000 + VAT

Key Stages

  1. Initial case assessment and advice on merits
  2. Submit or respond to the ET1/ET3 claim form
  3. ACAS Early Conciliation (mandatory pre-action step)
  4. Disclosure and exchange of documents
  5. Prepare witness statements and hearing bundle
  6. Attend preliminary and final hearings
  7. Advise on any appeal or enforcement of judgment

Disbursements

  • Counsel fees (if barrister instructed): £1,500 – £5,000 per day
  • Expert witness reports (if required): £1,000 – £3,000
  • Court bundle preparation: included in our fees
  • Travel and subsistence: charged at cost
  • Mediation fees (if applicable): £500 – £1,500

  • We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, and cheque. Payment terms are set out in our engagement letter.
